We wanted to capture the feeling of summer. Gracious hospitality, salt on your skin, glasses clinking and the slow unfolding of a day well-spent.
What began as playful sketches of iconic cocktails evolved into a celebration of the things we treasure most - pausing in places that bring us joy with people who do the same.
I cannot imagine a more perfect night. To stand amidst my work, surrounded by such warmth, curiosity, and genuine support, was deeply humbling. Thank you to every single person who filled this evening with pure magic.
Exactly 5 years before this gallery show opened, I did my very first Art in Residence session with a Central Florida family.
We marked the milestone with a day of fun & of course a giant, collaborative painting!
Her gallery is a celebration of creative expression. To highlight emerging and established artists, Meredith's rotating artist-in-residence program brings fresh voices and visionary work into her space.
For 15 years, I had the honor of working for a legendary letterpress studio in New York. In this full-circle moment, they printed the fine art prints for my first solo gallery show!
Their motto is 'We're behind your art.' They are certainly behind mine. And I couldn't be more grateful.
Meredith has asked each resident artist to select a worthy organization with ties to Florida so that we can shine light on their incredible work and help in a significant way.
My student Jude's family started a school in Haiti with a beautiful mission. We are helping with their need of books for the school year.
When we met to paint his canvas for the show, I told Jude, “The theme of the show is summertime. Think lemonade & sunshine.”
Jude said, “I know! Let’s paint watermelons in space!” And so we did.
I asked my Art in Residence students (ages 3-12) for advice as I prepared for the show. Their answers were soooo good that I made myself a book.
The title came from a 6-yr-old who didn't even look up from her painting when she answered. May we all channel that kind of confidence.
Is there an original work on exhibit that caught your eye but was already sold? We are ABSOLUTELY taking commissions and Sarah will happily create a new original for you. Please let us know what you'd like!
